With a land area of more than three times the size than Taiwan, Nepal, Bangladesh, are developing countries. Nepal has a population of about 30 million, which is 23 million more than in Taiwan but at one time, only has six trained pediatric ophthalmologists. In addition, while 1/3 of people make less than NT $40 a day, so many children suffering from eye diseases can not afford to see a doctor. The delays of medical treatment result in the increasing population of those who are blind. The support of ORBIS's campaign of love provides these children timely treatment, bringing their lives a little more light and a little less worries.

Located between China and India, Nepal, Bangladesh are developing countries.

In its 31 years of operation, ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital, has the world's only mobile “Flying Eye Hospital” and has helped the blind community throughout 92 countries around the world. ORBIS has performed over 200,000 surgeries for children suffering from eye diseases, enabling them to regain their beautiful eyesight.

ORBIS has the world's only one Flying Eye Hospital, helping blind people throughout 92 countries around the world.

According to statistics by ORBIS, approximately 285 million people worldwide are visually impaired, have poor vision or blind. Every minute a child loses their sight. Of the global blind population of 39 million, 90% live in the developing countries. Yet 80% of eye diseases resulting in blindness can in fact be prevented and treated. So it is ORBIS's mission to build pediatric ophthalmology centers in the developing countries throughout Asia, to rekindle the hope of a brighter future for more children.
